Leadership & The Next Generation February 2026, Online

Thank you for your interest in the Breakfast Club on Leadership & The Next Generation. A particular note of thanks to our amazing speakers, Sorcha Killian of the Hygiene Hub and  Leon Diop of Black and Irish, for sharing their time and valuable insight with us. It was a really wide-ranging conversation but some of the bits we loved included:

 –  If organisations want to attract talent they need to revisit their assumptions as employers. Insisting on being “in-office” can make an organisation entirely reliant on their immediate locality for talent. Providing trust and flexibility pays off.

 –  The same is true for volunteers, instead of expecting x hours per week, trust volunteers to complete a task

 –  Bring people with you, let people know ideas are welcome from anywhere and lead from behind

 –  Not everyone’s going to like you, that’s fine. Do your due diligence, prepare and stick to the values of the organisation and that is all you need.

As promised, here is a link to Leon’s book Mixed-Up: An Irish Boy’s Journey to Belonging.

You can watch the recording back below or at this link here. Please do share as widely as possible. This is a super valuable conversation.
