A special thank you to our speakers Tara Farrell CEO of LWL, and Anthony Burrowes Social Value Manager with SISK for their very thoughtful conversation on the value of collaboration for our sector. This was a fabulous conversation and despite the very different speaker roles there were some common themes emerged:
– Collaboration is a very human endeavour, it requires establishing and developing good relationships
– If you are making approaching a possible collaborator, do your homework, find the outcome that’s of value to everyone and focus on that
– Recognise the mission and vision of your work, keep that in mind so you can focus on the collaboration as it develops
– The landscape we are working in is changing, collaborations are a way to future proof our work.
