This is a collection of conversations, writings, and resources all about giving and receiving feedback by Brené Brown. She is an American research professor, lecturer, author, and podcast host. Brown is known in particular for her research on shame, vulnerability, and leadership.

As Brown says, “Sometimes speaking the truth feels as if we are being unkind, especially when sharing difficult information or feedback. But in reality, dancing around the truth is unkind. When we avoid stating the truth—when we are vague or ambiguous under the guise of being kind—it is often because we are trying to lessen the discomfort for ourselves, not for the other person.”

There are some excellent podcast included in the resources. Some of the titles are:

  • The hardest feedback I’ve ever received
  • Inclusivity at Work: The heart of hard conversations
  • Making work human.
