Leaders for Change Programme – National College Ireland Level 9

Presented in partnership between The Wheel and Quality Matters, this level 9 Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management, Leaders for Change, is delivered and certified through the National College of Ireland. The programme is for those in management and senior management positions in the nonprofit sector, or those aspiring to be. The programme places significant emphasis on group learning, personal reflection and combines this with high level academic theory to promote real growth and learning for participants. Over 120 nonprofit leaders have come through the programme. The lecturers are drawn both from academia, and from qualified and experienced senior managers/CEOs who work within capacity-building and research organisations within the nonprofit sector in Ireland and internationally.

The course contains modules on the following topics:

• Emerging Management
• Ethical Leadership
• Outcome Measurement
• External Environment and Stakeholder Conflicts
• Model Leadership Behaviours
• Implementing Leadership Driven Changes

Alongside these topics, learners receive very specific 360-degree feedback on their own leadership behaviours as seen by their peers, colleagues, direct reports etc. using a validated instrument.

The certificate programme focuses on very specific and emerging managerial issues in the sector, topics not generally found in conventional MBA programmes.
