An Cosán provide people of all ages with pathways to learning, leadership and enterprise. They have created a module to help people manage and understand conflict in a community development context.

The module will introduce the main models of conflict resolution and mediation. Learners will consider the issues which contribute to conflict in disadvantaged communities. The course will introduce essential skills for conflict resolution and negotiation, build on participant’s ability to critically reflect on their own response to conflict both as an individual and as community leaders.

Programme Details

  • Accreditation: NFQ Level 6
  • Time commitment: 2 hours per week over 8 weeks
  • Date: Start dates vary for each module. Email courses@ancosan.ie to learn more
  • Cost: €300 (Learners may be able to access a small bursary and scholarship fund, if required).
